Marital & Family Law Press Release

Brinkley Morgan Attorney Julia Wyda Receives Florida Bar Board Certification in Marital & Family Law

Brinkley Morgan Partner Julia Wyda recently became Board Certified by The Florida Bar in the area of Marital and Family Law. She becomes the 11th Brinkley Morgan attorney to become Board Certified and is the fifth member of the firm’s Marital and Family Law practice group to receive this designation.

Florida Bar Board Certification recognizes attorneys’ special knowledge, skills and proficiency in various areas of law and professionalism and ethics in practice. Established in 1982 by the Florida Supreme Court, board certification helps consumers identify specialists in various areas of law. Only approximately 7% of Florida Bar attorneys are Board Certified.

To be Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Marital and Family Law, an attorney must be in practice for more than five years, have more than 50% of their practice involved in marital and family law, handled at least 25 contested marital and family law cases with seven trials in the preceding five years, and have more than 75 hours of approved marital and family law certification continuing legal education during that period. Their application must also be peer reviewed and they must pass a written exam.

The other Brinkley Morgan attorneys who are Florida Bar Board Certified are Wlliam T. Coleman in Tax; Kenneth A. Gordon in Marital & Family Law; Willian S. Kramer in Real Estate; Philip J. Morgan in Real Estate; Yueh-Mei Kim Nutter in Marital and Family Law; Jonathan Z. Schiller in Marital & Family Law; Ronald L. Siegel in Wills, Trusts & Estates; Harris K. Solomon in Business Litigation; and Roberta G. Stanley in Marital & Family Law.

“Congratulations to Julia Wyda for becoming the latest member of the Brinkley Morgan team to become Board Certified by the Florida Bar. This is a well-deserved honor based on an outstanding track record of success for our family law clients,” said John Lambros, Managing Partner of Brinkley Morgan in Fort Lauderdale. “The number of Brinkley Morgan attorneys who are Board Certified is a demonstration of the deep roster of experienced and highly regarded attorneys we have to offer our clients.”

In addition to achieving Board Certification, Ms. Wyda will be installed as the 99th President of the Palm Beach County Bar Association on June 16, 2021.
