Kenneth A. Gordon, an equity partner with the full-service South Florida law firm Brinkley Morgan, recently served as a “celebrity waiter” at the 14th Annual Breakfast for Champions event hosted by Broward Partnership for the Homeless (BPHI) and the Downtown Council of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014.
Gordon joined numerous other local top community and business leaders in showing off their table decorating and serving skills and competing to earn the most “tips.” Proceeds from the event assist BPHI in operating their Central Homeless Assistance Center on the Huizenga Campus in Fort Lauderdale, which serves more than 1,200 homeless men, women and children each year. The event was immediately followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate BPHI’s recent 30-bed expansion.
“It’s an honor to be able to work with such a commendable organization for such a worthy cause,” said Gordon, who also serves on BPHI’s Board of Directors, “and I look forward to continuing to help the Broward Partnership in their mission to reduce homelessness in Broward County.”
