Julia Wyda, an attorney at full-service South Florida law firm Brinkley Morgan, will be speaking at the Palm Beach County Bar Association’s “The Basics of Family Law You Thought You Already Knew” CLE seminar on Fri., May 8, 2015 from 8:15am p.m. to 6:15 p.m. in West Palm Beach, Fla. The event will feature local family law attorneys and judges discussing a variety of substantive and procedural matters. Wyda will speak on preserving the record for appeal and other appellate issues.
Wyda is the newest member of Brinkley Morgan’s Marital & Family Law Practice Group, which was ranked Tier 1 in family law by U.S. News and World Report’s Best Law Firms 2014 Edition. Additionally, Wyda has received numerous recognitions for her legal work, including receiving the Florida Bar Family Law Section’s Rising Star award for two years in a row; being named a Florida Rising Star in family law by Super Lawyers Magazine in 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2014; and being listed as a Legal Elite Up & Comer by Florida Trend Magazine in 2011.
An active member of the legal community, Wyda is a member of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar, serving as Co-Chair of the CLE Committee from 2011-2013 and currently serving as Vice Chair of the Publications Committee and as a member of the Executive Council. She is also an Officer of the South Palm Beach County Collaborative Law Group and a member of the Palm Beach County Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, the South Palm Beach County Bar Association, and the Palm Beach County Bar Association, where she served as President of the Young Lawyers’ Section from 2013-2014 and currently serves on the Board of Directors. She received her Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from University of Miami.
