Thomas R. Tatum, a partner with the law firm of Brinkley, Morgan, Solomon, Tatum, Stanley and Lunny, LLP has been listed in Florida Trend magazine as Florida Legal Elite in the area of commercial litigation. Florida Trend solicited the input of in-state members of the Florida Bar and asked them to “name lawyers whom they hold in the highest regard – lawyers they have worked with or would recommend to others.” (Florida Trend, 7/2006) The result was a group of 1,031 Florida Legal Elite, representing 1.8% of the 57,968 Florida Bar members who practice in the state of Florida.

Thomas R. Tatum received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Loyola University, New Orleans, La., in 1970 and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami in 1973. He has practiced law in Broward County since 1973 and was a founder of and partner in Tatum and Tatum, P.A. before joining the Firm in 1994. Mr. Tatum's practice includes the representation of title insurance underwriters and insureds, the resolution of disputed title matters, and the investigation and resolution of real estate frauds and defalcations. His practice also concentrates on matters pertaining to liability insurance, defense and coverage disputes, and state and federal commercial litigation. He is active in numerous professional bar and community activities, having served two terms as Chairman of the Real Thomas R. Tatum Listed in “Legal Elite”

Property Section and one as Chairman of the Commercial Law Section of the Broward County Bar Association, as well as having served as President of the Board of Directors of Legal Aid Service of Broward County, Inc. and Chairman of the City of Fort Lauderdale Historic Preservation Board for the year 2000. Mr. Tatum has handled a number of appeals in the District Courts and Supreme Court of Florida and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the United States District Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
