SCOTT CHITOFF SPEAKS AT FLORIDA BAR BASIC CORPORATE LAW SEMINAR
Scott P. Chitoff, an associate with the Fort Lauderdale law firm of Brinkley, Morgan, Solomon, Tatum, Stanley & Lunny, LLP recently spoke at the Florida Bar Basic Corporate Law Continuing Legal Education Seminar in Tampa. His presentation was entitled “Litigation Management Strategies for Corporate Counsel” and included a discussion of the selection, engagement and management of outside counsel, litigation management techniques, e-discovery issues and communications with auditors.
Scott P. Chitoff received his Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies in 1993, his Master of Science in Dispute Resolution in 1995 and his Juris Doctor degree in 2000, all from Nova Southeastern University. While in law school, he was a member of the 1999-2000 Board of Editors for the Journal of International and Comparative Law serving as Lead Technical Editor. Additionally, Mr. Chitoff was an Honor Court Prosecutor, President of the Association of Business Law Students, Founding Board Member of the Law Student Advisor and Ambassador Program, and member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity. Mr. Chitoff’s practice emphasizes commercial litigation, including business torts, contract, corporate, insurance and real estate related litigation. He is currently a member of the Board of Governors of the Young Lawyers’ Division of the Florida Bar serving as a 17th Circuit Governor. He is also the current Secretary/Treasurer of the Young Lawyers’ Section of the Broward County Bar Association.
