George J. Taylor, an attorney at the full-service law firm Brinkley Morgan, will be presenting at the Planned Giving Council of Broward’s monthly breakfast meeting on Oct. 21, 2015 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. He will be speaking on the topics of charitable giving from the perspective of a private foundation and selection of professionals to assist in the management of a private foundation.
The Planned Giving Council of Broward County is a non-profit corporation created in response to a need for the dissemination of more information and the development of expertise in the field of charitable planned giving. Their goals are to offer an educational forum in the many technical aspects, marketing strategies, and implementation procedures of an effective planned giving program; provide the vehicle for networking of local professionals in the planned giving process; and promote increased charitable giving from the general public. An active member of the community, Taylor is a member on the Strategic Planning Committee for 2-1-1 Broward, serves on the boards of the Broward Health Foundation, Salah Foundation, and ARC Broward, and is chairing the $20.6 million KIDS Campaign for Broward Health Foundation.
As a member of Brinkley Morgan’s Business Litigation practice, Taylor’s practice focuses on solving legal problems arising from commercial and business relationships, including the litigation of those matters in both state and federal courts. He received his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center, where he graduated fourth in his class, and received Book Awards for Charitable Organizations, Interviewing and Counseling, Probate Law Workshop, and Real Estate Transactions. Prior to attending law school, he graduated from Lynn University, cum laude, with his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
